About Me

This blog is a collection of ramblings on all things about Ethiopia that stir my heart and soul.

I am a 30 something year old woman, Cambodian born of Chinese/Cambodian heritage. New Zealand bred.  Ethiopian heart and soul.

I am an introvert.  I have a quiet soul.  I enjoy the quiet moments - reading a good book with a mocha or macchiato, writing my thoughts and visions, or watching a movie.  I like to be alone.  The solitary moments allow my soul to steep.  If I were an animal I would be a lone wolf.

I am an extrovert.  I love meaningful social interactions.  I dance to express and connect.  I enjoy the music, the movement, the people, the social interactions that dance allows.  I love to connect and empower      through dance.

I am a lover of beauty, finding beauty in the most absurd things.  I am a treasure hunter seeking all treasures that enrich me.

Life partner to Yonas Taye Seifu and mother to an angel - Ambessa Yonas Taye Seifu.

I fell hard in love with Ethiopia in 2007 while building mud huts in Jimma (south-western Ethiopia) and the rest is history.

Each time I returned - 2009 & 2012 - solidified within my heart that this country is my future.

On a spiritual journey to pursue my highest truth and to share my light with others so their light may shine brighter.
